| Every so often we hold an afternoon tea, so that people who've
joined recently can meet each other and meet members of the
Committee. We had one on 10 July 2007. About 40 new members came along. Here are Anne Barratt (Talks Secretary) and Margaret Tyrer (Social Secretary) with some of the food that they helped prepare. |

Finally a special event. Douglass Austin (right), a long-time member, stepped down from the Committee at our AGM in April. We tricked him into coming along so that our Chairman, Roger Starling, could present Douglass with this picture as our thanks for all his hard work over the years. |
